Play Responsibly at 8v88
8v88 believes that gaming should be a form of entertainment — not a source of stress or financial risk. Our tools and guidelines are here to help you play mindfully and in control.
What Is Responsible Gaming and Why Is It Important?
Online gaming is a legitimate source of fun and excitement for millions of people. Like any form of entertainment, however, it is important to keep it within healthy limits. 8v88 always wants our players to enjoy a safe environment, and for gaming never to have a negative impact on their daily lives, families, or finances.
Responsible gaming means playing within your means, managing your time and money, and knowing when to take a break. The 8v88 platform offers several dedicated tools to help you stay in control.
Remember — gaming should never be seen as a source of income or a solution to financial problems. It is purely for entertainment. Set a fixed budget for each gaming session and do not exceed it.
8v88's Responsible Gaming Tools
Setting Deposit Limits
You can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits. Once set, a limit takes effect immediately and it becomes impossible to deposit more than the specified amount. This is one of the most effective ways to stay in control of your finances.
Time Controls & Time-Out
After you have been logged in to 8v88 for a set period, your session will automatically show a reminder alert. You can also set a time-out of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days — during which access to your account will not be possible.
Self-Exclusion
If you feel gaming is getting out of control, you can use the self-exclusion option to close your account completely for a set period. During this time, no betting or casino games can be played.
Gaming History Review
Your full betting and gaming history is available in your account. Reviewing how much time and money you have spent on a regular basis helps you understand your own patterns and make informed decisions.
Account Verification & Age Confirmation
Age verification is mandatory when registering at 8v88. Only players aged 21 and above may open an account and play. Keeping underage individuals away from gaming is our highest priority.
Round-the-Clock Support
If you want to talk about a gaming concern, the 8v88 support team is available 24/7. Help is available in both Bengali and English via live chat or email. You do not have to face it alone.
Warning Signs of Problem Gaming
If you notice any of the following, seek help or take a break immediately:
Spending beyond your budget — You are spending more than your set amount and running short of money for essential expenses.
Chasing losses — You keep placing larger bets to recover losses, which typically leads to even greater losses.
Hiding from family and friends — You are being dishonest with the people close to you about how much you are gaming or spending.
Emotional dependence — You feel restless, irritable, or anxious when not gaming, and your mood drops when you cannot play.
Impact on work and relationships — Gaming is making it hard to focus on work or studies, or is causing tension in your family relationships.
Borrowing to play — You are taking on debt or dipping into savings to fund your gaming and it feels like the only option.
The Golden Rules of Safe Gaming
Follow these simple rules to keep gaming enjoyable at all times:
- Set a fixed budget before each session and stop playing once that amount is gone.
- Only spend money that you can afford to lose without it affecting your daily life.
- Take regular breaks — do not play for long stretches without stopping; get up, walk around, and rest.
- Avoid gaming when you are angry, feeling down, or under excessive stress.
- Never think of gaming as an alternative source of income — it is purely a form of entertainment.
- Do not play after consuming alcohol or any intoxicating substance.
- Let your family know how much time you spend gaming — transparency is a healthy habit.
Account Control Tools in Detail
8v88 provides the following tools directly in your account settings to keep your gaming experience safe and in control. Contact the 8v88 support team at any time to activate or adjust them.
Deposit Limit
Set a maximum for your daily, weekly, and monthly deposits. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately; increasing one requires a waiting period to prevent impulsive decisions.
Bet Limit
You can set the maximum amount you are allowed to wager within a given period. This helps prevent you from placing excessive bets in an emotional moment.
Cooling-Off Period
Set a cooling-off period for a short-term break — from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During this time, no deposits or bets can be placed on your account.
Self-Exclusion
For long-term issues, self-exclusion is the most effective step. You can choose from different durations ranging from 6 months to a permanent closure; this decision is not easy to reverse.

Protection of Minors
8v88 firmly believes that minors should never participate in gambling or online gaming. To that end, we take the following measures:
- Age verification is mandatory at registration — only those aged 21 and above may open an account.
- Use a strong password to prevent underage members of your household from accessing your account.
- Do not leave your device unattended and unlocked with a gaming platform logged in when children or teenagers are around.
- If a child attempts to access an account, notify support immediately.
- Parents and guardians are advised to use family filters and parental control software.
8v88's Commitment
We do not simply operate a gaming platform — we are committed to building a culture of responsible gaming:
- All gaming tools and control options will always be available free of charge and easy to access.
- No player will ever be pressured to raise their limits or place larger bets.
- Responsible gaming information will be displayed clearly throughout the site.
- The support team is trained to recognise signs of gaming addiction and is equipped to provide assistance when needed.
- Your personal data and transactions are protected with SSL encryption and advanced security measures.
- To ensure fair play, the outcome of every game is determined by a verifiable random number generator (RNG).
